Guitar Pug AC15CC1 Mods

Well, I've officially completed every mod listed on the Guitar Pug site. I did them in such a random, spread out fashion that I really can't compare the original amp to what it sounds like now but I have to say that after each mod I've loved this amp more and more. It was "okay" before but now it kills. I'm getting a lot more sustain and the overdrive sounds a LOT smoother. This may delay my desire to pickup a Bad Cat Cub IIR.

Hmmm interesting I don't have the guts to mod my amp yet... I currently have a hot rod deluxe 112 with the deluxe cabinet sold separately... I'll prolly wait until the warranty runs out on it...

On your mod... Does I sound more like a AC30 or in between?

How well does the v1 plate mod work?

It now sounds like it's, at least, related to the AC30. Before they sounded like they were from two different families. I wouldn't say it sounds just like an AC30 but there are similarities.

I did the plate mod, the tone cut mod (swapped to 180K as apposed to adding a pot), and the choke mod in one shot. I notice that the guitar is a LOT more responsive and the bass and treble pots are a LOT more useable (they've became more useable with each mod). I felt that when using the bass and treble pots in their stock form that there wasn't a lot of tonal options when going from 7 to 5 o'clock. That's not the case now. When pushing the amp into overdrive it sounds a lot smoother and I feel like I'm hearing more notes and less noise.

Doing these last three mods resulted in the most noticeable and best sounding changes thus far.
