Help needed quick: Flank steak fajitas in skillet

I just realized I don't know what I'm doing. I cooked a couple strip steaks last week in the skillet and they turned out awesome. Today, I'm supposed to be cooking fajitas. I figured I'd just cook the flank steak like the strips - sear in the skillet, finish in the oven, and slice after resting them.

I have a packet of fajita seasoning that I figured I'd just rub on the steak before searing.

PROBLEM, CHEF?

Seriously, though. Will this work?

just make sure to cut against the grain rather than with it. flank steak can be especially tough if you cut along the grain.

Thanks, fellas.

One thing I know about flank steak is to cut against the bias

I've cooked it plenty of times on the grill. Just never in the skillet.

It was all right. I shouldn't have used the seasoning mix. I should have just used kosher salt and maybe some cumin or something. The seasonings overpowered the meat

We do this often. Flank steak in the cast iron....little kosher, salt, celery salt, cumin, pepper....if the steak is too lean, I might marinate it in some soy sauce and cut the kosher a bit.
