| it would be the surprise of the century if peterson falls below #9 with the cowboys.

| I am a Browns fan. It's nice we got 2 or 3 picks in the later rounds this year and 2 picks next year, and I guess I can't fault them for doing that...... but at what point are we going to stop "filling holes" and start drafting the best players available? I can't say that I'm all that excited about Phil Taylor or whatever his name is, when we could have had Julio Jones, an exciting playmaking WR at #6. There is a reason we're picking at #6, there is not that much talent on our team. How about let's get some real talent... we have Mohamed Massaquoi as a fake #1 receiver and #2 on our depth chart looks like it's going to be Brian Robiskie... that's not going to put many points on the board again this year.
I think the Falcons did a good job, as did the Saints and the Lions.

| Chargers picked up Corey Liuget. I don't know much about him. He certainly fills a hole, but it sounded like the local sports pundits weren't too excited about him given what else was available. It'll be interesting to see what the local press says over the next few days. |

| The 49ers got a pass rusher. Nobody was expecting it. Wow. Haha. Aldon Smith from Missouri. |

| The Saints and the Lions had particularly good nights.
Just read that Reggie Bush was released this morning.
Also happy with my Colts pick. Castonzo was great at BC. Hopefully he'll be just as good at keeping Manning in the pocket.
I'm not sold on Cam Newton being the best pick for the Panthers (I honestly was thinking Locker).
I'm also confused by the Falcons pick. I'm not sure they really needed another offensive weapon....scoring points hasn't been an issue.
Is it just me, or does AZ have the worst draft strategy? Just taking the best player on the board without any thought to need?

| Broncos got Von Miller. Could be great, but I was more interested in Dareus given the sad state of our D-line.

i hear the cardinals are going after marc bulger. its pretty much the same situation as kurt warner. i think they were burnt out on the rookie qb from the matt leinart pick a few years ago. peterson and cromartie are both going to be lock down corners which will give the pass rush more time to get to the qb.

I disagree about Newton and Locker. Newton, even if he does the bare minimum playbook-wise, is a much better playmaker than Locker... I mean Locker is not even accurate throwing, and does not have the running ability to match Newton. So I don't see any reason why Locker would be picked ahead of Newton. I think it was the right move for a team that was last in offensive passing stats last year.
I agree about the Falcons though, especially since they gave up a bunch to get him. Remember the Packers bounced them from the playoffs by scoring almost every time they had the ball. Their defense needs a lot of work and they did nothing to improve it. Quote: |

My fear is that we get too focused on getting system role players.
