| Hey Jordan, sorry to hear about this situation that you're in right now. Now I know that nothing can solve this pain for you overnight, nor even a week..... In fact I don't know when the hurt will go away. But I do know that it is times like these that God needs to become the number one source of strength for us. I, of course, believe you know this and I trust that you are using the limitless power of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
If you have the time over the next few weeks, read through Job. I know that this is the "cliche" book to read though when times are tough, but just because it's popular doesn't mean it's not powerful. I tend to always get super humbled and just stand in awe of God from chapter 38 onwards, as He sorta takes a strip off Job and asks if Job knows God's plans. It reminds me that God is in complete control and completely sovereign, which blows me away.
Keep being persistent in your prayers, for God hears the prayers of the faithful. I personally am really encouraged to hear about your burden and continuing love for your friend, that speaks volumes about how you carry yourself. Use support groups that you have (family, friends, us here at CGR) and talk to the leaders in your church. Getting stuff off your chest is huge, which I definitely suspect you know as have brought it up here, and it helps you with mashing stuff out. Just talking about things sometimes gives you a peace and reassurance, although it won't take away the pain. Stay strong brother, you have the prayers of the faithful with you.
