What's the best way....?

......to have both stompbox and preset (using a multi-effects pedal) capabilities?

I'll be the only electric player at my church and I'm starting this Sunday! I can't wait, but I just realized that the logistics of switching from one tone to another could be challenging when trying to emulate a "two guitar" sound by switching tones so drastically in an instant.

I really want to get the Line 6 M13 because I hate using preset tones like on my Spider III amp that I have now. However, I realized that there is some benefit to having a tone dialed up to just punch when going from a crunch with no verb for a rhythm part to a compressed, chorused, verbed, delayed guitar solo. There's no way I could do that in a nice way unless I had a preset (unless someone knows the trick).

I've thought about getting a M13 for the stompbox feel then adding a really small MFX processor like a Zoom G2 or something really tiny that I could have a few tones ready when I need to change so quickly. I'm new at this, so if anyone has a better way, please share!!!

Thanks!

Plus one to the above... At that point you will be able to switch on the fly just as of you we're were using a, midi switcher

So I can switch to a different scene and have a certain set of effects pre-selected and turned on when I go to that scene?

Oh yeah!
Just set it to "Latch Mode" and you'll be all set there

Here is another vote for an m13. I personally only have an m9, but I love it and think a m13 or m9 might be right up your alley.

I got my brand new Vox AC15 and Line 6 M13 yesterday. Night and day difference between my Line 6 Spider III......haha! Even the people at our worship practice were stunned at the difference in sound.

The M13 is gonna take some getting used to. I've been programmed to do effects through the Spider (with presets), so the stompbox thing is kinda throwing me off. I'm having a little bit of trouble adjusting to the number of switches I have to make on the fly, but I've only had it for one day.

So far.....its an amazing combo!
