So my sister is going to be in Trinidad over her birthday. So that makes me a probable. Still waiting to see on my car. If I can get the back struts replaced, it looks like a go.

Still checking with the wife (actually, I haven't brought it up yet). I'm looking at an 8 hour trek give or take some time. However, I'm still thinking it may be possible.

it was a 9 or 10 hour trek when I went to Firefly fest in Ohio two years ago. It was very much worth it.

I don't doubt the worth in it. I'm just trying to think of a feasible way to get there and back without having to miss too much time at work.

A more definite schedule would help me try and plan, but no rush. It's all a ways off right now anyway.

You guys have no idea how excited I am about this. Probably more than I should be.

But first, a question: what time is everyone/should we arrive? And where is everyone staying?

I'm just looking to set aside funds and request time off work. I'm looking into possibly renting a car to drive up there if I can get a good price on one because I don't want my car to fall apart. Hah. In any case, I just want to get a hotel room booked if that will be necessary. Early = cheap.

Hott boiz can stay in my room.

I second this. I will need to also get a hotel room and such, but we could probably share a room, and if we can find a room that has a pullout sofa bed that means more people could stay in the room too.

For me, it has been part of my life since I was 18. That was the first time I made a random road trip to meet some guy from the Internet. Haha. But I definitely understand what you are saying.
