Hey, I taught myself also after learning C,D & G many years ago, played those chords in front of a church in 7th grade and I'm still learning. It's never ending if your a music Junkie. I've been working on scales lately and trying to grasp music theory and read notes..not much luck there.

I Think You Tube is a great learning device, I play in church and often have to figure out those tough piano notes, then try to transfer it to guitar so I now feel like I'm a beginner again. Learn Chords and build up a good chord base. use You Tube and be amazed at the young kids that really shred.

also, I've been using Jonathan Boetcher from You tube. His DVD series has increased My playing and understanding of solo's and scales tremendously...Good luck and practice practice practice.

T.
