| You should get the blackberry 8700g, it's fantastical! extremely old though, maybe from 2005, and can't support a ton of things today. But it's indestructible, and has a scroll wheel on the side. You could unlock it for ATT which has good signal by my standards (by which i mean that i have gone 100 feet underwater in a tunnel, and had 3 bars). |

I just swapped out a motherboard, processor, ram, graphics card, optical drive and accidentally turned it on before changing the boot sequence, and the sucker not only booted, but is running perfectly. Windows 7 is IMO, the best commercial OS I have ever seen.

If they can keep the ball rolling, it'll be pretty good. They seem to be off to a good start, and that Nokia deal is promising.

| My dad works for Verizon, and my whole family uses it. I gotta say, we live in a fairly rural area of Northern virginia, and still my 3G coverage is awesome. I have a blackberry curve, and I pay for both my unlimited data plan and my line charge for the family plan. Its about 45 bucks a month. I love verizon, and have always gotten good service from them. At&t service out here is freaking awful.

| ^ It's basically the opposite here...Verizon has coverage, but it's spotty in places and there's no 3G. AT&T on the other hand has great coverage and recently installed 3G, though for a long while it was just EDGE.
I plan on switching from AT&T at some point, though...their data plans are awful for smart phones, which is why I don't have one right now. I'll probably go to whoever can get a true 4g network up first. (Real 4g, not the fake 4g that's out now.)

| Right now I am under Verizon but will be switching to T-Mobile prepaid soon.
As far as what carrier is best, it depends on where you live. Verizon is great for coverage, but their rates suck. StraightTalk is great for price, but their coverage sucks. |

It would randomly discharge a fair amount of charge through the camera lens edge.

i had sidekick 3 LX and i loved it, of course until the support stopped, the only issue i had was the fact you couldn't free surf the web, and could only buy things through the sidekick market, and nothing was free... but i lost my contacts because the server went down, and i switched to mytouch, but i guess the server was down for like 4 months or somehting. |

| I had the one before the LX and I had unlimited, (painfully slow) web. Nothing was free, but I switched to a g-1 and now I have the Vibrant.
We think my sidekick got so weird because of the guy a few doors down whose hydroponics sucked most of the juice from the building. Our electricity was frequently rather spotty with lights dimming almost completely out while on, etc. But my sidekick did get very, very, very weird.
