Very easy ways to make cash

Hey all, I wanna share some of the things I do for easy money. Now these are just a few things that work for me and they might not work for you depending on where you live. So like I said these are just some money making ideas that work for me but they can work for anyone.

Craigslist is awesome!

You can find so many items for almost next to nothing. For instance, a dining set that was in good condition with just the average dings and dents on the top of the table and on the legs of the chairs was listed at $150 but got it for $125 and filled in the the chips and with wood filler, sanded it, sprayed 2 coats of white semi-gloss ($10) and 2 coats of poly ($12) and sold it for $250. The project took about 8 hrs. Not bad.

And guitars, awe man you can get sweet sweet deals on em. Take em apart, sand, paint, poly, and some new or used hardware, and wiring em back up is so simple plus theres plenty of help online. You can make a nice profit off someones old beat up guitar. Sometimes I have a hard time letting em go lol.

Same thing with cars but your gonna have to invest a little more money. I have a very good friend thats a very good mechanic and he usually comes with to look at em and lets me know how much "ll have to invest into fixing it up for a profit.

To me it doesn't matter how much profit I make the main thing to me is that I'm making a profit. Like with the guitars, I shine em up so to say, and resell em and make a profit but the best part of it is that I can sell someone real nice guitar for cheap and the happiness they show is the best part about it. Especially with cars, if I can sell a family a decent looking fully functional car for dirt cheap is kinda like a high to me I'm sure you all know what I mean by that. Man I really love to make people happy.

Another thing I do is build cat trees. Cat owners go crazy for these. Look on any pet stores website like pet world and look at those prices. WOW!!! Crazy right? It costs me under $20 to make one thats all. Wood is very cheap along with screws, staples and carpet remnants that you can get from any local company that installs carpets. The smaller the company the better deals they give you on remnants because their probably gonna end up in the dumpster anyways so the'll make money from you buying their garbage. Make sense? I know you know it does because your smart. The best part of this is that I sell em for as low as $50 and thats for a big $150 one. If you want I'll post pics for you to check out and a fast easy way to build em. Mine are solid and high quality not like the flimsy cheap pet world ones with staples sticking out all over the place for your cat to rip its paw wide open with.

Another thing is dog houses. Do you know a dog owner? If yes thats a sale. And their so so so easy to build for super cheap.

I hope this helps some people to make easy money in these hard times. But you have to remember this one rule of thumb, SELL FOR CHEAP AND DON'T BE GREEDY. THE MORE YOU SELL FOR CHEAP AND BETTER DEALS YOU GIVE THE MORE BUSINESS YOU'LL GET. More business = more money its that simple. And making people happy is just priceless. You cant put a price tag on happiness.

I'm sure you already know this but dont for get to TITHE.

I really hope this helps.

I like this. Maybe it will produce some ideas that no one has thought of yet.

I have been doing the same with woodworking and guitars (and accesories). I made a guitar wall hanger that I finished up today. $30 and I have less than a dollar invested in material. Maybe an hour in time. I've done repairs on others guitars to generate cash. A lady came by the other day selling baked goods. Cake, Krispy Treats, and such. Great idea. My mom does some sewing jobs for extra money.

I've wanted to do this for computer repair/maintenance, because computer repair prices are ridiculous, but I may go into guitar fixing as well. I happen to have an old p.o.s strat that I suspect is homemade I want to fix up and sell.

I think a person could run a very good business just setting up computers for people and teaching them how to do basic things - like talk to their grandkids on Skype. I bet one large retirement center could keep a person employed as many hours as he/she wanted.

I would causation anyone considering this to be conscious of sneaky little expenses that are easily overlooked. For example if you are doing the buying and flipping on craigslist thing you could easily drive several hundred miles a month looking at and purchasing items. If you use the fact that you are busy and on the road as an excuse to stop for fast food, the gas and meals could easily be $75-100 a month. Not to mention that over the course of several years you will increase the frequency of needed oil changes, brakes, tires, etc. Also I think you need to factor in that you're going to hit a bust every now and then....say, buy a $200 guitar you think you can flip only to find out the guy really misrepresented the item and you're stuck taking a big loss.

All that being said....go for it.

Oh ya that stuff too lol. It truly is a factor. When I deal with craigslist sellers 9 out of 10 times I'll either get the person to meet me half way or if they really need cash now I'll get em to bring it to me for $10 more. You add that extra $10 on they usually get motivated to do so. I know cuz I was on both ends of that quite a few times lol. Plus I live in a major city and very rarely do I have to drive more than 10 miles. Oh ya, TRY TO SEE A PIC. One guy I bought a set of bar stools from didn't have a camera so he got his friends cell and text'd me a pic.

You raised some very good and overlooked scenarios (especially the fast food) lol.

My nephew JUST started doing that and the prices he was telling me for certain services just squash any competitor thats around here. But he's just starting so he wants to make a name for himself and what better way to do so besides super cheap.

Do both that way when one gets slow you still have another craft to put to good use.

Good luck.

Shovel snow. I made $150 digging out two cars with a a snowblower and a shovel. Took me maybe 3 hours total. Without a snowblower it would take considerably longer, but thats where you decide how much your worth. If its going to take 8 hours to do the job for $150 it could still be worth it if you weren't doing anything productive anyway.

I think that's interesting.

But would there be a one-time charge for each person/computer or charge for each service/call?

I think that would probably be up to the individual computer tech...

Indeed. I would probably try to go with the service charges rather than one lump sum.
