Also, idk where you get "disaster movie" from Battlefield Earth (which is sci-fi).
| 'b-film' appeared in your description; Battlefield Earth was the only example that came to mind when it came to comparing B-movies. :P
Sorry if it sounded misplaced.

If I really wanted something out of a disaster B-film, I would be watching Battlefield Earth. :P | Really, are you kidding? That was cheese wrapped in cheese, deep fried, and then covered in more cheese.

I saw the prologue in the IMAX and it is definitely hard to understand his voice. I'm not sure what the solution is if they want it to be realistic, but it does not seem like a good idea to release a movie where the main villain is very difficult to understand.
Apparently these critiques have made their way to Nolan and he's still not planning on making significant adjustments. It appears we're likely to have muffled Bane vocals. | Yeah, my point is that his voice doesn't sound right - this is a villain who, in the comics, deduced Bruce Wayne was Batman based on his hand movements, executed a plan to make Batman weak/tired when they fought, and temporarily paralyzed him (with the option of killing him?). I'm not asking for Darth Vader , but some sort of good voice acting on Hardy's part would be good. His one line in the trailer was easy enough to understand, so hopefully most of the film isn't that bad either.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

| I watched Warrior last night which stars Tom Hardy. He was scary in the role. THe guy is intense and massive. The guy knows how to do accents and act.
I was never really skeptical about him as Bane, but that movie took away any hesitations. It would be nice if he's taller, but I'd rather have someone who's not quite tall enough than someone who can't act as well. |

| The football scene definetly had some cheese goin on there.
For the most part, anytime there are fake sports teams involved in a movie, it is almost destined for some cheese. I mean, if that was actually the Pittsburgh Steelers, it wouldn't be as cheesy. Obviously, they're from Gotham though.

| Tom Hardy was good in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy as well. However, the trailers I have seen have made me conclude that this is one film I will NOT shell out money to see. I'll wait until the library gets it. Then I'll reserve it, and wait three months for my reservation comes up, then watch it on my couch with a cup of coffee.

Apperently Chris Pine does have 3 inches on Tom and Tom wasn't as bulked up. But he really did look small in most of it. |

| Loving everything I see. Things to note:
0:49 - There are three bridges being blown up, two in the background.
0:56, 1:07 - Wayne is trying to climb out of the (well), and visibly falls. Based on the lines in between, perhaps Bane is forcing him to and/or "playing a game"?
1:11, 1:45 - Bane vs. Batman in what appears to be the same location, then Bane tossing Batman's mask to the ground.
1:54 - Bruce Wayne kissing Miranda Tate (Marion Cotillard). It has been eight years since Rachel died...
I am cautiously optimistic - Nolan might be trying to pack too much into this. We have two new villains (Catwoman might be more of an anti-hero), Joseph Gordon Levitt and Cotillard's new characters, and according to the cast list, a thread about the Rhas and Talia al Ghul characters. I wonder if anything less than three hours will work....

| Haven't been disappointed with Nolan's Batman continuity yet. I do think he has one more up his sleeve, and I think he's doing the right thing after this one - stopping and letting these ones be done, rather than running them into the ground.
Looking forward to this conclusion. |

| I've been aprehensive about Anne Hathaway playing Catwoman but from that preview I thought the acting seemed good. I still want Catwoman to have a twinge of crazy though.

You have to give them a little wiggle room since the story creates a whole new city. You can't really have the "New York Giants of Gotham City". Well, there was the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" but at least Anaheim is a real city.
