The Gibson ES-335 Drool Club

The ES-335 is a gorgeous and amazing guitar, and I want one. This thread is for others like myself who hope to find one one day when they have the funds available to snag one!

Mmmmmmmm, Gibson...

If someday I ever stumble upon a way to make a lot of money with music, I really hope to own one. They are gorgeous.

I used to have a 335 copy and really enjoyed it. Would definitely get one again if I had the opportunity. "Opportunity" would have to be defined as having lots and lots (and lots) of money though so that I could get one after another Tele. But after that . . . yeah. Would definitely like to have one. They're just so rock n' roll.

*edit* ^^^ technically, I guess that's a 345, but hey . . . close enough

I am thinking I may get a 339 at some point. Loved the Lucille I had, but it was a bit too big for my very short torso.

I'm 6'-3", 205lbs and the 335 looks big on me.

I actually debated a 339 over a 335. The sound is really comprable. The 335 just sounds...bigger.

I am 5 foot 8, and I have really long legs proportionally. My ribs actually touch my hip bones all the time so my torso is really, really short, which made the Lucille a beast to play sitting down as it made my shoulder feel all funny.

So yeah, 339 is probably on my horizon, unless my newer build really converts me. I also really love my ES 300 though, so I may look at some of the older, more archtop styles a bit more with hums and semi-hollow. Though nothing quite snarls like a full hollow and p90s.

Wish I would would have picked up the ks-336 when I had the chance. I constantly get made fun of for liking that guitar, but man...it was one of the nicer guitars I've played. I found one once for a stupid low price, but had to pass on it because I needed food.

I'd play one in a heartbeat, but living and eating is slightly more important than a cs Gibson. Now if it was to buy underwear or socks, the guitar would win.

I'm a short guy (5'6"ish), but, for how this guitar sounds, I'm pretty sure I'd be okay with looking a little undersized .
