Also, now that you're using a Tele, it's important that you receive the proper instruction about them.
And finally, can't pass up an opportunity to post a pic of mine: |

| Get out and play lots of Teles before deciding. There are so many variations on the theme it's hard to tell until you have it in your hands.
I'm spoiled. The first Tele I ever played was an honest-to-goodness 1954 model with a pedigree that made you wonder how it survived in such fantastic condition. It was plugged in to an old Kustom head and cabinet covered in tuck and roll padded vinyl.
Since then I settled on blade pickups with brass saddles as my Tele of choice. That is, until I get around to selling a toy or two and buying one of these... |

| Now I've had several different Teles from several different makers and none of them really tooted my whistle, but when I really got serious about a Tele, I went out to the barn and built my own. **from scratch**
Granted, it's not one of those high dollar Fender brand with the pickups plastered all over the front, but it keeps me playing. One piezo under the saddle. Really nice acoustic sound to it. |

| Everybody, those are beautiful telecasters! I think I might transforming into a bit of a tele-obsessed person as telecasters just seem to catch my eye more than any other guitar out there.
Well I finally got to plug 'er in! I spent a couple hours playing all kinds of music on it and I absolutely LOVE it. A while ago I went to the store to compare MIM to MIA teles to see if I had a huge preference between the two, and I hardly had a preference as they felt so close to me, so I decided an MIM would be just fine for me. Boy was I right! It sounds exactly how I was hoping. The bridge has all of the spank I could want, combining the pickups has the perfect in-between tone that I need, and the neck humbucker surprisingly sounds killer as well. I didn't plan to use the neck very much at all but I have changed my mind. It may not be a $2000 guitar with the worlds best pickups, but I'm glad that my ears don't require that expensive of a guitar.
This shall hopefully keep me guitar needs satisfied for quiiiite a long time.

| Just around there . Although, for me, guitars stick around a lot longer than amps and pedals do.

| I played a very unique pickup for teles recently. I am a huge fan of the charlie Christian bridge pickup lollar makes.
I need to build one similar to Roscoestrings, only setneck or neckthrough. with some noiseless cc pickups.

| I have a cheaper $200 Strat and it still is awesome. It's been a couple years so the bridge is starting to fall apart, but again this model was much cheaper. I recommend this purchase. |

| Hey Guy n Gals, I'm new here, but have been playing for 27yrs. I'll have to say the Tele is an awsome and unique sounding guitar. There are no one size fits all guitars (unless they make a TeleLesStrataPaul!). However the classics get that way for a reason. I'm not knockin the new stuff, as classics were new at one time. It's just tough on a budget to get all sounds for all seasons. I have 14+ guitars (Diff tools for diff jobs). I almost always go for the Tele for a wide range of styles and sounds type of show. Its clean sound fit nicely with acoustic praise and worship. It can rock with the strat or les paul also. To me there are many great classic and if you can afford to do so over time, invest wisely in proven timeless classics. They have never let me down. Oh, and yes there will be Tele's in Heaven p.s. Love my Strat's too... |

| Welcome! I hope you like it here.
And I fully agree. I am sure I'll still use my les paul for some things, but I see this tele as being able to be used for almost all of the applications I currently need in a guitar. I'm so excited to use this live.

I bought my tele in 1995 (American Standard) but we took a while to get accustomed to each other. Now I'm hooked on telecasters. Well, I'm hooked on all guitars, but now I'm hooked on telecasters too. |
