Should I upgrade to the new Xbox 360?

I'm considering making a bundle of my current 360 elite and some games I don't really play and trying to sell it for cash towards the new Xbox 360 Slim. So, if everything panned out I could probably upgrade to the new xbox for around 25 bucks or at most 50 bucks. I've heard there is some questionable stuff about it though, like you have to "upgrade" to HD (which I don't really get if that means you just have to buy a cord or something) and that the 4gb that they advertise is actually just the ram, and there is no hard drive (with that version)? Anyway, that'd probably throw in a couple extra costs. So what do you guys think of that, would it be worth it?

While the new 360 is definitely a nicer piece of hardware, so long as your current 360 is working, I don't think I'd trade it in and get a new one personally...

I totally want to upgrade to the newer 360. It is not worth the cost to me, though. If I could do it for $25? In a heartbeat.
