I saw the same guitar at GC last night and went home to search the internet for information. Your thread is the only thing I found online about the guitar. I called GC this morning and put it on hold. I'm planning to take advantage of the 15% trade in trade up coupon and grab this tele. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to sell to justify the purchase (probably my road worn 50s tele).

I like it very much. I would've went with white, but I'm very excited for you. It is one fine guitar. I had found a standard USA tele used for what I thought was a good deal and one thing I liked about the blacktops I played is that they had the contour like yours. It does make it comfy. Although on the other hand, I like that angle that body falls with out the contour, but it's not as comfortable on my bony ribs.

Either way, you have a fine axe. And I may be wrong about this, but technically those pups aren't considered humbuckers. Or are they? I know they call them "wide ranging" but I think they are technically single coils. I may be wrong though.

I stand corrected, they are called "humbuckers". Either way, I really like it.

Someday I would like a body that has that contour, plus a little off the front where your arm rests and semi hollow to make it lighter. I think that would be my ideal set up. And I probably would really like the sound of those pups. I was so tempted to get a 72 reissue. But I like the one I got so far.

How does the volume knobs work?

I just picked up the sea foam green version to replace the 72 deluxe I had. The volume knobs seem to be very different. The volume knob for the neck and middle position seem adjust volume when the bridge PU is selected. Does toys do that too? I can't find any info online that this guitar even exists.

I would expect the volume knobs to be the same as the layout for the '72 Deluxe RI. If yours isn't behaving this way, I would think something is wrong with it. That being said, I don't own this guitar.
