On that note, in either cooking or good old fashioned sandwich making, you can't really substitute any of the mayonnaise alternatives (vegan, etc.) with any real satisfaction.

I usually buy certain name brands of stuff simply because of the quality and I'm super picky about ingredients - I read the label on everything (unless it's something I buy regularly or already know the ingredient list). I won't eat anything but Chobani Greek yogurt. When I buy baking chocolate most of the time it's Ghiradelli. Mayonnaise I'm not too picky about but I've moved back to Vegenaise. I don't eat ketchup very often but I have Publix Greenwise organic ketchup in my fridge (no HFCS!). I refuse to buy low quality ice cream most of the time; if I do buy it, it's Ben & Jerry's our Haagen Dazs. When I buy nuts/seeds, my sunflower seeds have to be David and my almonds have to be Blue Diamond.
