| Just watched 3rd Day's "Come Together" tour video I liked it. I'm not a crazy fan of them, but I do like some of their songs quite a bit. I think their song "All The Heavens" is really really good song.
I'm always put off by bands that appear and perform like other rock bands from the secular world. They do have a tenancy to do this. However, I can't give you a Biblical reason for my opinion other than the verse that tells us to not be conformed to the world. But that could be interpreted in many ways and I'm not sure if it's applicable.
Regardless of all that, I think there are certain songs that really speak to me and build God and his word up. I absolutely love the song "Nothing Compares" and always have. And in the video, he (Mac) does a good explanation of the deeper meaning and that nothing in this world compares to knowing Jesus. And that in itself was worth the video.
Plus, Mac played a guitar very similar to mine (Standard Tele), for many of the songs. I didn't realize he played the guitar so much. All the other guys seem real nice also. I'll never understand the hair thing though. Can someone just have a normal haircut that is in the music business???? What's the big draw to having different hairdos?
The 70's rock influence isn't necessarily my favorite type of sound, or whatever you'd want to call it. But like I said, I like some of their songs quite a bit. And it was a blessing to watch.
