Top row is a BDAB MK II

The swirl paint is a phase 90

The lower blank one is a Leeds Fuzz.

The upper one with 4 footswitches is an a/b/y with 2 BDABs built in. The brains of a dual amp rig.

Hey BSPE, isn’t the Discombobulamodulator one of only two made?

Correct. It is quite interesting. It can sound fairly normal or go off into crazy land rather far, fast. It is quite probably the most complex effect I ever want to own.

Trinity with the etched finish. I cheated; too lazy to take a pic of my own, I used BSPE's pic and cropped it. Great pedal, one of the things I like about it is the simplicity - it sounds good with the controls it has, doesn't really need a tone or eq controls. Its transparent, doesn't color the tone much at all and maintains tone of the amp. I use the BDAB for solo boost, the OD (with the bright switch on) for just a little extra "gain" in the tone. I haven't used the distortion much, it sounds good thru a clean amp, but like any distortion it gets a little muddy for my taste thru an amp that's already driven into mild OD, which is where I use my amps most of the time. .

It comes in real handy though in front of a clean fender amp. I have been known to toss the trinity in the back of a fender Musicmaster bass and it sounds fantastic. Really, I could play a worship set with that one pedal and that amp easily and cover pretty much whatever I needed to. That for me is the ultimate in grab and go because the amp weighs nothing and the one pedal is all you really need.

The Trinity is perfect for worship for me. I just have that and my BOSS DD-3 straight into my Peavey Classic 30 and it gives me every tone I need on Sundays.

I remember when you talked about designing it with Eric that the goal was to make the Trinity an end all/be all for worship guitar drives and I think Eric really nailed it. It covers every territory exceptionally well. I fly with it when I visit my church back in Florida so I don't have to worry about finding an amp that has good drives... anything with a speaker will work.

My normal set up makes use of the OD/Boost into an amp about to break up, but the pedal can stand up on its own without batting an eye. Plus, having multiple routing options for each individual effect is just totally awesome.

Hmm, I might have to think about ordering one in 6 months or a year, when I can afford to expand my rig a little more, sounds like it'd be really a great addition for me

You might have to pony up some extra cash to either bribe Eric or pry one away from an owner. IIRC, the Trinitys were a single run pedal.

To those of you with BDABs; do you only use it as a boost for solos and such or do you keep it on all the time?

Worship guitar drives? I use that thing for EVERYTHING.

@AudioAUnderdog
Depends on the amp. On gainy amps I tend to keep it on all the time, because it really pushes that edge-of-breakup sound into tonal bliss. On clean amps, I'll use it as more of a straightforward boost, often.

On all the time. I run either an AC30 or AC15 with a pretty dirty clean sound and it really keeps everything clear and magical.

Hmmm. I do remember that from somewhere, I could definitely find a way to make it happen :P

On all the time, at about 10oclock, helps clean my tone, no matter how clean or overdriven it is

Originally they were designed at my behest, and there were 12. (It was originally going to be custom, but to cut cost he opened it up.) The computer files including schematics were lost in a computer crash so I think they are gone forever.

I use BDABs on all the time at different levels.

Snap, that might make it a little difficult :P
