They'll probably sell enough to justify its existence and then have it fade away, hoping that people who come to look at it will at least purchase some other Gibson. |

| I'm sure there will be enough sold to justify it's production. It would be perfect for someone who is touring and wanting a really versatile setup with minimum outboard equipment. But I can't imagine the learning curve on this sucker. Too many controls. |

I use only one. |

| Okay honestly, I don't like it at all.
1. It's ugly!
2. Forget Guitar Rig Controls, you can already do that with a footpedal.
3. If you are going to add a ton of controls, do it with the pickups and initial guitar tone, not the amplified sound.
Seriously, Dark Fire and Dusk Tiger were steps in a good direction, but this is a Guitar Rig controller on an ugly guitar.
If anything, it should have been the reverse Firebird. |

| I like it.
Looks killer.
I'm personally curious what I could do with onboard effects, especially if I started mixing it with my pod pressets.
The tech in it kinda makes it more interesting to me.

| The only way I could see this technology taking off is if you can control which effects are "installed" in your "pedalboard" via laptop or rack unit. Say I don't like the fuzz, I can download a different one and set it in my virtual pedalboard and forget the old one. I could see something like that taking off. To be honest, I like that idea, but I hate the idea of changing sounds with my hands. There's a reason why pedals have foot switches. My other two appendages are doing something already. In this day and age, if a band is using a lot of effects, odds are they are using different pedals at different times in a song. Having to stop playing in order to turn on your delay is stupid.
I like the way it looks, though. Except for the ugly fretboard color.
I just don't understand how this is a "revolution". Make a modular guitar. THAT'D be a revolution.
Oh, and that CEO is about as exciting to listen to as the CGR Electronics forum is to read. |

Guitars with the hex-pickup system have been done before. All Gibson is doing is taking all of these ideas and smashing them together. |
