| Possible new guitar coming very soon Im still not sure how I feel on this one, but oh well.
I need cash so my strat that I love has been up on kijiji for a while, and I got a bite.
Since he responded I've been playing the strat and it makes me really not want to sell, but he's offering what I paid for it in cash plus a guitar, so it's hard to say no.
The guitar I'll be getting is a Yamaha SC 1200 - looks interesting and cool. Anybody played one? |

| I have, actually, once back in the day. I don't remember too much about it, but I don't remember disliking it, I guess... I still know the guy who had it, though, so I wonder if he's still got it... |

| I found some pictures. They definitely look interesting. I've been interested in the single-rail pickup designs in the past. |

| Gah! This didn't go through.
We traded today - he gave me the money and the guitar, then about half an hour later he calls me back saying he wants to trade back. He took it to a (stupid) guitar tech who claimed the neck was either not original (he didn't look at the stamp) or that it had been reprofiled (which is obviously not true), so the guy wasn't interested.
He based his opinion on the fact that he had never seen one like it, despite the fact that it was a limited three year run model that had three different kind of necks and also some custom options. He has also never heard of the model before.
I told the guy I was going to get it sorted out, so I sent Fender an email with the serial number and am waiting for them to get back to me on some actual specs of what the neck could be so I could compare it. But the guy just sent me an email saying he took his guitar to store, sold it to them for $400 and bought a mexican strat instead.
Wow.
I really liked the guitar he had, too. Not a fan of the big neck, but it sounded really, really nice.
Oh well. Looks like I'm keeping it. |

| That's why I never even bother with things like Craigs List or whatever equivalent. The world is full of people who can't get through life without a hassle and they all shop there. |

| Micah, you're a nice guy. I might've just told him his tech is an idiot and all sales are final. I've done the research on your STRAT so I know it's real. Too bad not everyone else can be bothered to do a short Google search. |

| *sigh*
C'est la vie.
I've had a couple good deals on Kijiji, but you have to get through lots of crap. However.... I did just find out my band may be playing a gig on new years that would pay well enough to get me out of debt, thus allowing me to not need to sell the strat.... fingers crossed that it works out! |
