Watched it. It was a hoot and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not a chance I'm staying up until 2:00 AM every night to watch it though.

I watched it. I very much enjoyed the monologue. The interviews seemed like his standard fare, which is slightly better than anybody else. I will watch it if I happen to be channel surfing when it is on. Which means almost never.

Just for reference, Conan beat Leno and Letterman in the ratings department. His show does start a half hour before theirs, but for a basic cable show to win is great and I'm sure TBS is very excited.

I think everyone expected Conan to have a strong opening. IIRC he had a strong opening on NBC too. If he can keep it up, that would be excellent.

Hopefully his ratings stay high and that convinces CTV to move it to a better slot...

I enjoyed tonight's episode as much as the last one. Gotta love Conan's interviews with Tom Hanks. LOVED the part where Hanks got splashed with water. He's just so good with physical comedy.

Plus, I actuallly really enjoyed Soundgarden's performance. It's good to hear Chris Cornell reaching those high notes again, though I didn't expect his hair to be grown out as long as it was.

What does IIRC mean? People use it all the time and I hate being unable to decipher what it means. Also, Conan rocks. The "Simpsons" hasn't been funny since he stopped writing for the show.

If I recall correctly IIRC stands for if I recall correctly.

According to TV guide's website, he's on at midnight here - which wouldn't be a real problem if I lived in the dorms/apartments instead of off campus.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

I think this is an indication that I'm not "with it": I read half the thread thinking it was about this guy...

The thread made a lot more sense when I realized everyone was talking about this guy instead....
