okay maybe try marshalls. I hear they are known for distortion.

swing my mf and look around then after deciding on a few to try go to a guitar shop and try them out.

I play acoustic, but Fender is supposed to be the best brand out.

If you got the money and are a serious player, all will tell you Mesa Boogie for tube, Line 6 for SS (assuming you want a head and some kind of cab). Of couse I hate SS so I will tell you Mesa Boogie (Dual Rectifier). Only $100 more till I get mine.

Actually, I think for punk Fender is not a good choice. But for Blues it would be awesome. I think mesa Boogie would be good. How much do you want to spend? You could go with Marshall, Peavey, Orange. I guess you probably want something with good distortion. the best way to find out what amp you should get is to find out what the bands you like play.

Yeah that's what I've heard and why I recommended a marshall.

fenders have better clean tones and marshalls have batter crunch and distortion.

I'm partial to Marshall (that was not meant to rhyme), I can personally attest to the excellent distortion a marshall can produce.

Also, new Peavey amps have really good tone. They are much better than the Peavey amps of yesteryear. probably a better value than most others.IMHO
