Do any of you all KNOW for certain that you are going to heaven? Jesus says the way is narrow and many will say "Lord, Lord", and he will not even know them. How can you live knowing that you might be one of the deceived? How do you know that everyone you know, your pastor, family, friends, are all not among the deceived?

My salvation is based on HIS faithfulness, not mine. If it was based on me, I would have fallen. Several times today alone.

But I know HE is mighty to save. HE is the one holding the Universe and the molecules together. HE will complete the good work HE started in me. HE foreknew me before the foundation of the world. HE is my salvation and nothing and no one can take me from HIS hand.

I like the present tense in the promises of eternal life for those who have faith in God's Son.

John 5.24: "He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
