Hey guys, I have (what I think) an awesome deal on my hands. I wanted to know what some other people think first.

At a local music shop, there is a Fender Deluxe 112, about 2-4 years old. I was told by the manager that it sells new for about $500-$600. Though it is used, it is in awesome condition physically and it sounds great too, even compared to a Marshall. It comes with a footswitch that toggles clean and overdriven chanels, and also turns the sustain on and off. They wanted $200 for it.

Wha'da'ya think? I think it is an awesome deal, and they really can't be pulling a fast one on me, because of a 3 month warrenty on it.

Any opinion would help, thanks a bunch.

If you're talking about the same amp as the one in that picture then, by all means, go for it. My friend got that amp for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. Another friend has the Deville 212 (Same amp with more power and 2 12's instead of 1) and when we play with both of those, a loud drummer, and loud bass those things are crankin' out some sweet, LOUD tone. They never go above 3 in our shows and that's loud enough to make your ears ring for a good while. Very highly recommended and $200 for it is a steal if you ask me. As long as it sounds good still and doesn't look too beat up I'd go for it.

I absolutely loved it when I played it at the store. It will definately fit my needs if it is as loud as you say. I'll be playing for church soon, and it should definately work to get above the drums.

Oh yeah, and I didn't mention (you may know this anyway) that the amp has a real tube pre-amp, so you get some sweet tone out of it. Crank up your drive all the way and get those tubes hot....you're lookin' at some creamy distortion then.
