| I have an MIJ strat for sale Here is the deal, fender system 3 trem.
Original neck has been badly retrofitted for a FR nut. (the guitar does not have a FR, but the original nut for this type of guitar is literally impossible to acquire, it was a ridiculous design)
I have a moses graphite neck with planet waves that fits it and it works well.
Under the pickguard, some mos have been made to make a normal HSH pickguard fit. (The original had a rather bizarre bridge humbucker that was not too user friendly, shaped like an oversized soap bar. (that pickup was physically broken)
The hbs in it now were some I had laying around. They sound amazingly awful with said guitar so they are not staying.
I would include installed GFS HBs as well, The Bill Lawrence L45 in the middle position sounds quite good though.
here is the deal. The original neck could be made functional, though it has a fair amount of wear. The Graphite neck is amazing and has ss frets and Planet wave lock and trim tuners. I don't see myself possessing another strat, so I could bundle them. Or I could just install a graphtech nut, fill the holes with epoxy and maple plugs and paint the top of the refill black to match the headstock. (warning the MIJ has kind of heavy fretwear, the Moses does not have any.)
Trade offers are welcome as well as cash.
One condition. All trades must be physically smaller. Pedals, quite possibly, guitars, probably not, amps or cabs are a no go.
I can point you to a place that has retrofit kits to use the trem with a FR bar for $27. I could also install that if you like.
The picture is of it as it stands right now. Current humbuckers have to go though. They sound awful. Pick your own. All moderately sane or insane offers considered. I want closet space and I don't like strats. My wife actually does not let me own strats anymore I get so frustrated with them.
Want both necks? sure, make me an offer.
