Bands with fresh take on worship?

I just discovered the Rend Collective Experiment, and I have to say I am very pleased with their style of worship music----they crank out excellent words of praise and the music sounds fresh and original.

Are there any other worship bands who've raised their heads recently that you can say the same about?

The Ember Days. They're a lot like Explosions in the Sky.

A Muisc Arts Pastor whom I respect very much really digs Carlos Whittaker. I have not yet check him out.

Julie Meyers definitely comes to mind... for example, look up "Jewish Medley" by her.

A few of the bands from Mars Hill in Seattle have albums and the bands are very good. Worth checking out IMO.

Passion Awakening is a great compilation of several artists like David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Hillsong United etc.
And for something (more) alternative and fresh I'd highly recommend: Delirious?: Kingdom of Comfort.
Oh yea and Jesus Culture too, like redbaron suggested.

One Sonic Society.....made up of two of the guys from Delirious (Stu G & Jon), a drummer from Hillsong, and Jason Ingram (who has either produced or written alot of what you hear on CCM radio right now).

They've got their two best songs streaming on their site, "Forever Reign" and "Greatness of our God"

After seeing this thread, I checked these guys out for the first time... Organic Family Hymnal is my new favorite worship album

Jason Ingram produces a relatively new band called Tenth Avenue North. They've got some great worship songs. "Hallelujah" is probably my favorite, and yet few people know it...
