ebow + hog/pog

Has anyone ever tried this? I have a friend with HOG, I really wanna try this sometimes. Endless sonic possibilities for ethereal and string type sounds...

You don't.

However you can bow all 6 strings at once.

I've used a bow on a Les Paul (a la Jimmy Page). With a little left had muting (think slide guitar) you can do all kinds of single note stuff on any string or....OR you can do really cool chords and stuff.

But can it play all the strings at once? ZING.

IMO, they don't even sound similar. A bow sounds like a real bowed instrument, an EBow sounds like feedback or something along those lines.

I honestly find that the eBow has so much output and harmonics on its own that distortion and my MicroPog don't do much for me. I much prefer the sound of the eBow dry.

I was wondering about that. I know I like a little delay and reverb with my ebow. I will have to try the micro pog with it, possibly just to drop the whole sound an octave.
