I would like to request a "brutal metal" forum.
As it is, the few metal-related threads that are scattered throughout several of the existing forums end up lost in the endless discussion of Telecasters, Vox products, delay pedals, U2, and pop/rock bands.
I feel that this forum would benefit from having all metal-related threads concentrated in one particular area in which they would all be easily accessible. This would also allow the rest of the forum users to peruse Telecasters and U2 threads to their heart's content, without the inconvenience of ...... Quote: |
... there's a metal head checking out an amp with all the distortion you could muster out of one amp....

The first store I went to, there was of course your typical metal head showing off all his harmonic moves and power chords to be so heavy. Then when he left, another had to come in after about 10 minutes.
| As a result of the 'few and far between' metal-related threads, as well as this sort of 'anti-metal' sentiment that is so prominent in the vox-delay-tele crowd, those of us who like metal tend to be left without a place of discussion. I believe that a 'brutal metal' thread could both help make CGR more user-friendly for those of us who like metal, as well as for those of you who don't like to be around anything that reminds you of metal.
I would also volunteer to moderate this forum, as I am an avid fan of metal music of all varieties, I have moderator experience, and I still meet all of the requirements.
Thank you for taking the time to read and consider my forum request.
| I'm not going to lie, I like metal music but those metal-heads in guitar stores really irritate me. It's more the showing off that bothers people I think. Unfortunately people who play metal seem to feel the need to show off more than people who don't.
