| It can be done and still sound good, if done in the right way (I actually do this). Get a digital modeling pedal board, I have a POD XT Live. Mine works for bass and guitar. They're designed to output through full-range/flat-response speakers, which would be PA speakers and keyboard amps, so get one of those. Sounds great. The POD basically does a good job modeling pedals and amps and sends them to the speaker.

So you could get either.

| Just keep in mind that the new Fender Bassman series is totally different from the old Bassman heads and combos. Except the reissues, of course. |
