on a more serious note from my previous posts today

i had this really bad headache, then on my itunes i changed over to a playlist i have title god's tunes, anyway up comes a song off of the self title sonic flood album called something about that name, for whatever reason my headache went poof away, probably because i was no longer thinking about work. but then i remembered about how i used to listen to this album as a kid and wonder, how intense it is, and full of so may different sounds, and it still is the same to me after i've grown up, unlike anything else is. but it just goes to show you that excelent music like this will not be lost to the ages, i then listened to the rest of this album, and i felt peaceful, it's almost like god is working through it... just a tidbit i'd like to share.

I think I can relate to what you're saying. There are some albums in my collection that minister to me just as much today as they did in my early teen years. Others I guess I've either grown out of or am in a different place spiritually. Sonicflood's self titled album also has the same effect on me along with some of Skillet's early music.

Thanks for sharing.

Several years ago I went through a difficult time, based on things going on in my life.
The main reason I got through it was God's amazing grace, and I was helped by listening to Glenn Kaiser's albums All My Days and Throw Down You Crowns
the music focused my thoughts on Christ, not myself, and it helped to focus on Christ.

Good to hear you were helped in a similar way.

thank you for saying that, yes skillet's early stuff, like alien youth album, but for whatever reason anything after that i pretty much can't stand, it's like they pulled an MXPX or something, and aren't good at it...

yeah totally, and i tell you it's not the first time, i can't tell you how many times caedmon's call helped me out the 40 acres album mostly. i love there newer stuff but that album does it for me, and i can't tell you how many time the song from them called table for two helped me get through break ups, LOL...
