Practice bass amp

I'm filling in for the church bassist for the next month, and while he's leaving his bIg amp at the church, I need to find something to use at home for practice. What should I be looking for on Craigslist for preferably less than $100?

Do you have any sort of amplification at home right now? If so, what?

Traynor Bass Mate

I have one and it works great for solo practice and I've used it with bands as well--although nothing real loud--but it was a worship band.

If you need more power they have a 25 watter.

If you see one used--it should be under $100.

New shouldn't be too much more.

Here's a deal for you!!! For $15, who cares what you are or aren't looking for! lol.
But seriously, I'd say for a practice amp, you just need something that works. You don't need to achieve any special sound if you aren't going to be playing in public or something! That's my two cents. I could be completely wrong. But if I was strapped for cash, I'd go with this:
ibanez model IBZ10B starter bass amp

Hope this helps!

Dang. Looked too late.

Yeah, I'm not really looking for anything great. It's only a Squier P-Bass that I'm borrowing from my girlfriend, as a long term loan. (She uses my Acoustic-Electric Guitar for church...fair trade)

If you just need something to practice in the bedroom and you don't need a ton of volume, I'd just use the guitar amp. As long as you are careful not to push it too hard everything should be alright.

So, sometimes just asking a few people at church can do wonders. One of our church members has a son over in Iraq, and he left his bass amp behind with her. She emailed him (I know the guy), and he's agreed to let me borrow it indefinitely. It's a 25watt Crate Bass Amp. No complaints at all.
