Bluegrass Gospel + Harmonica

I have been practicing with a bluegrass group for the last few months. I have primarily been playing the fiddle, but I have also filled in on bass and tried my hand at banjo and mandolin. The banjo and mando just do not feel natural to me, yet. I have been playing harmonica for over two years now, so I left the banjo and mando at home last night, and brought the harmonicas along with the fiddle.

The result? I enjoyed the resulting sound much more. Not too shocking, I admit, since I have a 2+ year head start on harmonicas over the banjo and mando. I am going to stick with the harmonicas as my alternate instrument for next few months.

I sometimes play along with a bluegrass group on harmonica. The fiddle player doesn't like it because the fiddle and harmonica sound too much alike. (his words)

Stick with the mando and banjo though. It get easier and more comfortable. And if you get in a fight the banjo makes a much better weapon than the harmonica.=D
