| Dual Overdrives Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum, please be patient with me?
Anyway, my question is:
If you stack overdrives, what are your combinations? I currently use a Korg AX3000G but am looking to start in individual effects. At the moment, my father and I are building the BYOC OD-2 (but it's failling) so do any of you recommend some combinations, even if they don't include a screamer(clone)?
If this has been asked numerous times in the past, I apologize in advance, but hey, times change- right? |

| I sometimes use my Jekyll and Hyde (the Jekyll, TS-808 clone side) along with my SBN Screamin' Eagle. I can get some nice tones that way, but most of the time I just use the Screamin' Eagle unless I'm playing the both sides of the J&H at once.

| I'd use my SBN BDAB boost into any overdrive. It is heavenly. |

| I use quite a bit of stacking. Either:
SBN BDAB > SBN 22 > SBN Lil Eagle > SBN Mad Rat
or a Big Muff clone in place of the Rat. I do use the BDAB on all the time though so the 22 acts more like a boost because the sound is still clean unless I strum hard. The gain knob on the Lil Eagle sits around 9-10 o clock and then the Rat pushes it into high gain. The Big Muff is pretty much just set to sound like it's destroying everything, with both gain and volume almost on full. |

| I use a Tube Screamer, into a treble booster, into a fuzz pedal, into a modulation pedal that has a linear boost. I use any combination of the four for different sounds.
I get a near perfect Guess Who American Woman tone from combining the first3.

| Thanks! Thanks guys for your responses!
I was looking at the Jekyll and Hyde, Maxon OD-820 and various Xotic stuff...
But so many people I know have the J&H; and a mate of mine told me he thinks the Xotic pedals are a bit of a ripoff...
What do you guys think?
Oh, and should this be a different thread...? |

| I keep trying to kick my Jekyll and Hyde off my pedal board in favor of something new, but it always ends up staying. I've been playing is constantly for about three years now in every kind of music from hardcore to slow blues.
