Sorry, but you couldn't pay me to hold one of those things.
If it didn't have the ball thingies... they'd be +1 on Nintendo, IMO.

The point of the spheres is more than that. Their shape is important as well. The system knows the size of the sphere, so when it appears smaller or larger it can tell whether it's near or far, meaning accurate tracking in the Z-axis. They also do effects like muzzle flash and whatever else the game might warrant.

Huh.. that's interesting. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it ends up playing.

No, but I don't think it's necessary for a gaming controller to look like a plastic ice cream cone.

While I don't think they'd look better than a Wii controller, I do agree that there'd be no issue with the design or physical appearance if the orb things weren't there. I'm probably kind of picky about these kinds of things, but I still wouldn't buy any of those controllers due to how ridiculous they look.

Question: Don't most people look ridiculous playing motion control games no matter what the controller looks like?

That depends on the game, but at least for Wii, if the game doesn't involve flailing around the room, no, it doesn't really look weird or ridiculous IMO. All I'm saying is a would prefer more of a nicer looking traditional, not in your face design like the Wii remote.

Difference: The Wii remote doesn't have a brightly colored orb sticking out on the end. And that's my biggest issue, the obnoxious looking, rather large orb at the end.

I skipped Sony's presentation, so I missed a lot of the specifics about Move. However, I was reading a couple months back that devs were still having a lot of lag issues utilizing the hardware. I assume most of issues have been dealt with by now, yes?
