Constitutional Convention? Really?

Lawrence Lessig: Rhode Island's David Segal's Call for a Constitutional Convention

I heard that if it goes down, Obama's going as a Storm Trooper.

But in all seriousness...

WHAT?

I think that the only way to take back States rights is for them to call for a constitutional convention. But Rhode Island can't force the issue by itself. According to wiki, there has been over 700 applications and every State except Hawaii has made an application for a constitutional convention. This isn't really unheard of.

Oh if only these states had elected representatives in the government empowered to propose and pass ammendments.

Rhetorical pandering?
