The interviews make it seem like the reporters hadn't heard of him. Is that so, or just they hadn't really heard much about him before hand?

No one had heard of him, unless they were covering misdomenar court. He's unemployed, broke, living in his father's basement, and awaiting trial.

I find it curious that no one has reported that someone did see Alvin running "an old-fashioned campaign, all across the state... of South.. okay... South Carolina."

I'm sure if he did any at all, there would have been some one who'd come forward and say he kissed their baby on the head or whatever.

I'm really not sure what to think about it. Is it legit? Could it just be an error with the counters (or the votes were replaced etc)?

It seems very unlikely to be tampering. Simply put: no one knew either candidate and Greene's name was first because it comes earlier in the alphabet.

If no one knew either candidate, why is everyone making a big deal out of it? I do believe that the other candidate had done a lot of campaigning.

Because Alvin Greene is a broke, unemployed man being tried on criminal charges who did zero campaigning. Of interest, as much as why he entered, is how he paid the fee since he was indigent.

Vic Rawls had 4% name recognition, IIRC. Alvin Greene likely had close to 0%.

I think the electorate deserves this guy. I wouldn't vote for a perfect stranger (unless it was Balki).
