I'm not an OHV guy. I'm not a solid-axle guy. I like my luxury cars to have leather, wood or metal on every touchable surface.

The Mustang has DOHC, but it also has an SRA.

The Camaro has OHV, but fully independent suspension.

$30k buys each car from an 'American' manufacturer. Honestly, this is good stuff in my opinion.

Your standards are slipping, Matt.

I don't mind the SRA on the Mustang this time, because it handles so well.

My standards are slipping because I want a Jeep. Solid axles are the only way to do that.

Because I like one car with an SRA, and another with OHV.

Yep, from everything I've read the new Mustang is by far the best handling ever and keeps right up with IRS cars like Camaro and M3's. I want to see it for myself but any improvement over what it has been in the past has to be good.

It's really so sad that the M3 has gained enough weight to be in the same sort of bracket with those cars. Man. It was once a full 1100 pounds less than it is now. Shame on you, BMW. Although it does look like the skidpad and slalom numbers for the M3 are still significantly higher than those other two cars.

i'd buy a 1 series over an m3, unless the m3 was the sedan and i pretended that bmw didn't screw up and misplace the '5' and had to use a '3' instead.

Exactly. 135 = win. I'm still wishing they would make an M version of the 1 series.... but if they do, it will be called something other than the M1, I can guarantee that. I don't care what they call it. They just need to make it. A 135 with M3 brakes, suspension that would make an E30 owner smile, and close to 400 horses would be great.

Actually, if I was going to drive a new M3 sedan, I think it would be fun to put an M5 badge on it. Just to screw with people. lol.
