If Kevin Max is heading up the efforts, I would suspect he needs a larger income. Lets be serious, Kevin is the third member that needs to agree to a reunion tour, not the one trying to make it happen.

I wouldn't really go out of my way to see it. Something in town? Sure.

He's the guy whose name I can never remember. That says something, I think.

That's quite possibly a good thing.

I'd go see them if they were somewhere nearby. Although, I'm really skeptical that this will ever happen.

Honest question: What did Kevin Max even do in DCTalk?

Keep in mind, I think that Kevin Max is by far the most talented of the three people in dc talk. But from everything that has been said in the last ten years, I wouldn't take reunion talks very seriously until Toby starts saying something more concrete. He's got the most to lose out of the deal. I also wonder why Kevin would want to do a reunion tour, as the guys don't seem to particularly get along or hang out with each other, have wildly different styles in music, have an apparent need to do a reunion tour, or seem to care that much about satisfying the demand for a reunion tour.

Could you imagine what a dc talk show would look like? A bunch of 25 year olds reliving the good old days, humorously accepting what they thought was "the best music ever", as if 25 is really old. It would be so bizarre.

Lol at everyone's cynicism.

Really? I mean yes there would be that, but I would really expect to see the nostalgic crowds if Petra or WhiteHeart got back together or something. DCT is still pretty popular, and they're still getting radio play.

That being said, Reunion Tour does not necessarily mean 120 dates all around the world. It could easily be 5 shows. But we're talking about 2011, not now. If Tobymac continues his current trend, we can expect another album from him maybe the year after.

If the newsboys continue the current trend, they'll have another album out a year (or less) after the release of Born Again, which calls for the typical newsboys endless touring and the like. Tait would definitely be the weaker link here.

If there was a show within 100 miles of my location and $50 or less, I'd go see it. Bands like that are few and far between, it'd be like seeing Soundgarden or Five Iron Frenzy or something. It's music history, an era that I'm too young to have been around for, and it probably won't ever happen again.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

Isn't that kind of like saying "Honest question: What did John Paul Jones even do in Led Zeppelin?"

Funny thing, I posted a question to Michael on his facebook with the link and asked if he had anything to share about it.

I can't find the post anymore. I hesitate to say it was deleted, because facebook can have weird post disappearances that mysteriously show back up later.

I did have two posts deleted from Duncan's page last year when I corrected him for selling his merch "just in time for Squizzmas." I told him I thought it was in poor taste, and maybe even a tad blasphemous to replace his nick name for the "Christ" part of Christmas. I made one post as part of the comment on the post, and I made a stand alone post on his wall. Both disappeared, never to be seen again.

Topic? I would like to see dcTalk just because I never had the chance back in the day.

See a band like Petra or FIF, I think reunion shows are great. But dc talk getting back together is kind of like if the Backstreet Boys got together...they had some great pop songs, but they're a boy band from Liberty University who tried to rap and then sing together (except not all three of them could do either at the same time). They're just more goofy to me than other Christian bands from "back in the day"...and that much harder to take seriously. So with that in mind, and with Kevin Max already on record as saying he wasn't quite sure what he was doing in dc talk, I find it interesting that he is the one talking about a reunion tour.

Yeah, but keep the context in mind...To Tait or Duncan, who are you? You're a fan. If one of them doesn't care for a post you made, they have every right to delete it, even if that's just to have some quality/message control over their own facebook page. Especially if you're the one correcting a band member over something you thought was inappropriate...I'm sure he'd rather hear that from a real friend and not just a fan. Keep in mind, these people don't actually know you at all.

For me and my friends, we'd be standing there laughing wondering why we ever listened to that ☺☺☺☺ in the first place. So... at least with me and my group, you're dead on.

Really, wasn't roughly 80% of their demographic middle and high schoolers?

I actually gave Supernatural a listen a few months back. I'd say that album by far aged the best though I hated it at the time. I followed it up by Jesus Freak, which used to be my favorite album. I laughed at how cheesy the lyrics were and cringed at the tone on the guitar solo on the title track.

They're just 3 washed up old dudes who I suspect are still trying to live out the glory days, only Tait and Mac are much more successful and Max is probably jealous.
