"Basses do not "gently weep"... they will rattle the walls, lay the foundation, soothe the body and the mind, or bellow in fury as they strike you down with a bat'leth, but they do not "gently weep"..." |

| Congratulations.
I have 3 SX "shorties" right now. They are pretty nice basses for the money. I have, however, done a lot of modding on mine. |

But i am thinking making it string through (cause I like to do that), and eventually maybe new pups, but no hurry, cause it is just a backup and will only get played at ball games with my students or at church or gigs if my Birdsong is ever out for any reason...

| Got home in time last night to grab the head (got delivered to the neighbors today) and head to practice. Good grief, the LH500 and Goliath III 4x10 sound awesome! Huge sound... so much more clarity and definition than my old rig (Ashdown EB 180 15" and 2x10 extension cab), I love it. My guitarist was going nuts about it too. The drummer just got a set of mics and a big sub... We were thumpin' last night

| Good to hear!
As much as people say gear doesn't matter and you should just plug away on what you have... it really does make a huge difference.
If you're not liking how you sound it's hard to get into, you don't practice as much and it's just not as enjoyable. |
