"Metal" guitars

***James Trussart Custom Guitars***

Does anybody here own one of these guitars? A guy I work with just bought one of these, and it's the coolest guitar I've ever seen.

"Always out-manned, never out-gunned"

"The most dangerous weapon in the world is a US Marine and his rifle."

"The Marines know how to use their bayonets. The Army's bayonets might as well be used as paper weights."

"It's God's job to judge the terrorists. It's the Marines job to arrange the meeting."

My friends blog (with a few random posts by me!)

I'll admit, the Steelcaster looks mighty beautiful. These have all probably got some killer sustain... but I've always been baffled by everyone's percieved need for sustain, I've never really cared. I'll bet it's really cold too. So yeah, if I had 4 thousand bones lyin around, would I buy one? Probably not. Still cool though.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

I know what you mean. The other day in worship, the other guitar player was supposed to hit a big chord and then we'd start the song a few seconds later, but it died away really quickly (little does this guy know that when you are playing with a small crate solid state amp on clean, your sustain won't last as long as you'd like) so he's like "oh sorrry, I'll bring a guitar with more sustain on sunday." It made me chuckle...

But on the topic, the telecaster looks really cool, but I couldn't see myself ever getting any of those.

I like how the bass sounds. Kind of looks like something that would be cobbled together from scraps in a post-apocalyptic world.

My guitar is made of wood, and it's more 'metal' than those.

I remember seeing this really sweet Trussart jazzmaster. It was hollow, and had a cutout like a tricone. Loved that guitar.
