I thought this film showed promise, but I read a review yesterday that said the acting is bad all around and that the actors only look like they know what they're doing because Megan Fox is worse than they are. The same review said that this film should solidify Fox as box office poison.

She's an awful actor and obviously has fans sheerly because of her looks.

Based on box office numbers, her fan base is dwindling or just failed to show up. The film opened in 7th with $5.4million. It barely beat out "Killers", which came out a few weeks ago.

She hasn't had the right project where she's been able to show what kind of acting abilities she actually has (and you can blame Michael Bay for that, as he kind of made her the most popular form of movie "eye candy" at the moment). Wait for Passion Play this fall, the film she's doing with Mickey Rourke (who has had nothing but positive things to say about her performance) and Bill Murray. All evidence says that that'll be the film that'll show whether she actually can act or not.

She's only had a large role in four wide releases, and two of those films were Tranformers films and two WAY under-performed (Jennifer's Body & Jonah Hex). Transformers were franchise films where she may have helped please the audience, but people bought tickets to see robots fight not Megan Fox.

She may have tons of fans, but they're not showing up to her movies unless there's robots. They've figured out if they want to look at her they need only do a google search.
