Go check out thegearpage.net/board Best forsale section I have seen online for guitars! A guy had a totally tricked out carvin that was really pretty for around $850 I believe. For $1500, you could get a Prs Sc245 or a Mccarty pretty easily. It sounds like you like the sound of humbuckers best. Also Prs Mira's come up for sale for around $1100 often.

Whats your amp setup right now? Maybe if you spend well under your budget for a guitar, you could upgrade your amp too. Maybe get a good tube amp (vox ac15cc1), or if you play live at church a lot, maybe an amp modeler would work. Well, good luck with the guitar search!
