Like Cam42 said, it's a lot about personal preference. I prefer mac hardware and software over the huge variety in microsoft/pc. I find it easier to use and more reliable. I've been happier with my Mac/Apple hardware than any other manufacturer and that's why I stick with them (even though the computers come at a premium cost). | I guess it's just different, because for someone who grew up with Windows and PCs, the words difficult and PC/Windows don't go together at all. I don't consider PCs to be difficult in any way, I am fairly computer savvy, but still, if you know what you're doing, I don't consider PCs to be hard to use or unreliable. You just again, have to do the research and make sure to get a good PC. |

| Nowhere do you mention Windows 7. You do, in fact, mention growing up with Windows. Which implies you've had experience with multiple versions of Windows. Possibly ME. |

You just again, have to do the research and make sure to get a good PC. | I grew up on PC. I used them until I was 28 (about 2 years ago). I used to build them from scratch. finally I just got tired of building and just wanted a computer, and every mass produced PC I wasn't satisfied with.
And I don't want to do research any more. I know that I can go to an apple store and any computer I buy will be built with high quality and last a long time. I've had my macbook for two years now. I still get 5 hours of battery life from it and it still runs just as snappy as the day I bought it. I've never been able to say that about any PC i've owned, whether custom built or made from scratch.
Other people may have different experiences. And if you're happy with your PC great. But I think Apple makes better computers overall and it is worth the increase in price. Are they perfect, no. |

So I'm not just a newbie who started using Windows for the first time last week. And I didn't make it clear, but I was talking about modern day Windows (specifically Windows 7) when I said Windows was reliable, and not very difficult to use. |

| But think about it, since we're talking about modern day PCs being unreliable, I wouldn't be talking about a terrible, outdated OS, I'd obviously be talking about, you know, the OS you'd actually get if you bought a new PC. I'm just glad Microsoft figured it out with Windows 7. |

| Well I think this thread has run its course. No one is talking about the I'm a Mac commercials anymore. |
