It's Cloverfield-style ambiguity all over again. And from J.J. Abrams again, no less!

This time, J.J.'s writing and directing and the film is being produced by Steven Spielberg.

I came into this thread wondering why on earth somebody was making a movie/tv show about a motel franchise

Watched the teaser....ehhh, it could go either way at this point. It didn't really grab me much.

Alias and Lost both got ridiculous/stupid after 3-4 seasons, but Cloverfield, Star Trek and Mission Impossible 3 are great, so I'm hoping this will be too.
