| Bird Watching So, does anyone enjoy doing this?
I am taking a bird watching course for my May term class and I am enjoying it immensely.

| You need a decent pair of binoculars and a comprehensive field guide. Not one of those simple "birds of your backyard" publications, but one with all the varieties of finches, warblers, hawks and sparrows found on your continent. It should fit into your pocket. In North America the field guides are divided into east and west. Joining a nature or birdwatching club helps, as they know where the best birding areas are, and often conduct guided outings where the more experienced birders can point out and identify less common species for newer members. |

| I've never done it, but I think I'd like it. I would like to combine it with photography. |

| Even the backyard can be a source of interesting bird watching.
