| Yeah, Curry was about 6'10 and we were 14 years old. I think he's what, 6'11 now? Hasn't grown much. Anyway, We had to go to this big conference with the President and all this crap cuz we were in the top 100 players under 18 in the nation. It was really cool. I was 6'6 at the time. There for 3 or 4 14 YEAR OLDS that were over 7 foot tall. Crazy stuff. My team finished 8th in the nation out of two hundred and something teams. I don't think Curry's even placed in the top 20. He was good though. At that conference I heard people talking about him being looked at by the Bulls even then. I was amazed. Anyway, just a little info for all y'all people that's jealous of my claim to fame...(just kiddin)...

| It looks like the Maverics are for real this time. With the addition of Van Exel (if he keeps his attitude chilled) and Avery Johnson, the Mavs look great in the West. They are the only team I have EVER seen in the NBA that played all 12 players regularly and didn't suffer because of it. Granted, they have to get past Shaq and Kobe which is a difficult task, but if they do I am not sure any team can beat them. Novitski, Nash, and Finley are excellent, they just need to find that big body to put on Shaq down low, maybe Lafrentz can fill that void. |

| all i can say is that LaFrentz has done great since moving to the mavs. I honestly think that DAllas has one of the best teams in the league, if not THE best. Nash, Finely, Nowinski, La Frentz, Van Exel. what more could you ask for?

I think they really didn't want Van Exel, they just had to take him to get LaFrentz. Quote: |

| Maybe. Hopefully. Probably not. The only two that can (or could) stop him are Duncan and Robinson, and the Admiral is showing his age this year. My guess is that they'll hang on to LaFrentz and Van Exel for another year, and then dump them both and make a big run at Tim Duncan, and they had to move Juwan Howard's paycheck to do that. Of course, they might also make a run at guys like Antonio McDyess and Jermaine O'Neal that year. Who knows.....

| I think we'll just have to wait and see about this trade. From the mavs point of view, i think it would really be silly to act like about 10 other teams in the duncan sweepstakes. Just "dumping" van exel and lafrentz would be a really illadvised move, especially if Lafrentz plays well within the Mavs system. The fact is, Duncan will probably stay in San Antonio, and I don't think even if we had the cap room in dallas that he would come here. He says he really likes San Antonio, and will most likely stay there. the only other place i could maybe see him going is orlando, but i reallly doubt it. I think the Mavs made the move they did thinking not only this year, but down the road. If Lafrentz can continue to contribute the way he's capable of, then i think he would be a good sign, but if he doesn't for some reason, and totally bombs, then yes we could get another guy, but I really think he's going to do just fine as a Maverick...just my .02 cents

The Spurs aren't going anywhere unless they pull some amazing rabbit out of their draft hat, or pick up an incredible free agent, and I don't see them doing either. I think Duncan leaves as soon as he's a free agent, and I think Dallas has as good of a chance as anybody at signing him. LaFrentz is a free agent after this season, and will probably re-sign with Dallas, if only for a year. Van Exel has to prove that he can keep up a decent attitude before Cuban will ink him. Dallas is a place where marquee free agents are going to want to visit for years to come now. We'll just have to see what happens.
