Can't wait to make rounded corners, text shadows, and box shadows w/o having to use images or JavaScript. |

| I've personally fallen in love with Chrome. The Mac version is good, not much faster really than anything else, but on windows, Chrome is blazing fast on every computer I've ever used it on.

| wasn't thrilled with chrome, but i tried it early. I use IE & FF pretty interchangeably, Opera on rare occasion, and loathe safari, even on my Mac.
I can't help that it has the worst rendering engine of the bunch, renders the slowest, and doesn't behave the same on win & OSX without tweaking system settings which annoyed me. |

| Chrome is noticeably faster than Firefox for me, but I don't use it. Noticeably faster when no page takes longer than a couple of seconds to load anyway doesn't matter much, and Firefox is much more customizable. I like the way Delicious integrates with Firefox much better. Also, I have Firebug.
I also prefer Firefox's UI. They don't try to reinvent the wheel. They keep the menu on the top-left, the tabs below the menu, the standard OS chrome, etc.

Personally, the newer Ie's have been good browsers, which is really something of a stunning development. After decades of suckage, it isn't that bad. Chrome may be faster. But my FF is fast enough to where there is no significant gain to be made and it has no ads.
any other reason... and it has no ads.
For me the ad thing is HUGE. In case you can't tell, ads annoy me. | I've got an adblocker in Chrome and it works perfectly.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. | |

I know that a light version of Firebug came out for it, but I tried installing it and it was so buggy that it only appeared half the time I clicked the button. |

| I am also perfectly happy with my current firefox setup. IOW, I have it set up perfectly to my needs and know exactly what extensions I like to optimize it for me.
There are actually a few reasons I have not mentioned about why I have not gone chrome.
1) Google has enough information.
2) The Chrome TOS was actually pretty scary. Technically, they could do all manner of nasty things I would have agreed to if you say apply the TOS to my online banking, or even posting on this forum.
3) I really disliked the lack of menu bars, the difficulty (compared to firefox,) of getting a working extension.
4) Its ugly
5) It does not load some pages I frequent correctly.
6) would google allow blocking of googles text ads? I doubt it.
