| I have a Washburn XB600 six-string bass, A Carvin LB-20 four-string, and a Squier Vintage Modified fretless Jazz bass.

I guess I have little interest in doing the 5 string thing, let alone persuing other extended range basses, being the 4 stringer, old geezer I am when it comes to bass. I have done the drop tune thing here or there when I've had to, which hasn't been often. | You are quite the man of Fenders .

| My main bass is a Line 6 Variax 5 string...all black (I made a new, black pickguard for it since my picture). I bought it when they closed them out for $499 a few years ago, and I absolutely love it...except for the weight.
I will build a lighter body for it this summer. |

| Newbie here, can't post pics yet. Playing an LTD B206 and a Peavey Fury V. Saw an SX 5er in an earlier post, wish I didn't get rid of mine and now with that nasty headstock, I will probably never get another one.

| My only bass at this point is a Sadowsky NYC Ash-Maple with a quilted top. Sounds great, plays like a dream, cuts thru the mix, and is light for a fiver (8 pounds). I may add some others if I get more gigs, but this is my last main bass.
A little better light: |
