Breaking News:
CBC SPORTS ONLINE - Canada's Jamie Sale and David Pelletier will be awarded a gold medal in the Olympics pairs figure skating.

The Canadian pair finished second to Russians Yelena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze on Monday, sparking a storm of controversy.

Russians will also keep their gold medal.

Earlier this week, a French judged claimed she had been pressured into favouring the Russian pair.

I think that's a great idea. Something kind of weird though, Dick Dale (a guitarist) was a guest on a local radio show this morning, and he suggested the same thing.

really though they should have gotten the gold to start with. but hey this is better than nothing.

I heard an interesting solution today.

Do that then have another skate off between those two with other independent judges(won't happen now) and give out another gold based on that performance. but that isn't going to happen any time soon.

I didn't think this was a cheap thread. we were discissing our views on the canadian pairs skating controv.
