Totally awesome!

I only just watched "When A Good Man Goes To War" just before it though (since we didn't want a major cliffhanger for two months). I thought the new episode was good, but no where near as awesome as the one before it.

I know I was just saying a few weeks back in Lee's blog that I wasn't interested in Doctor Who.

But...

My cousin talked me into watching a couple of Tennant's episodes last week and it was actually kind of fun.

I couldn't watch it, but I'm utterly stoked to get back to the US and watch it! This new doctor looks like he could be quite good!

I really need to sit down (without any distractions) and re-watch it. I am sure that there are things I missed the first time. I think I need to go back and re-watch The Girl In The Fireplace episode from series 2 as well.

The three episodes so far have all been entertaining.
Some good humour, some character development, and as it is a TV show--the episodes did entertain me.

I'm warming to Capaldi's Doctor. Though when comparing darker sides, I definitely prefer Matt Smith's angrier side (e.g. "I thought you'd run out of ways to make me sick.", "Oh, big, big mistake, really huge. Didn't anyone ever tell you there's one thing you never put in a trap, if you're smart, if you value your continued existence, if you have any plans about seeing tomorrow, there's one thing you never, ever put in a trap... Me.")

Also the whole Missy thing is weird. :P

I love Doctor Who. I don't know why I never found this thread before.
I have seen every single episode up until this season. I have seen season 8's premier, but I'm now 4 episodes behind. I have only ever watched the new series. That being said Eccleston is still my favorite but Tennant and Smith were fabulous and I can already tell I'm going to like Capaldi too.

Also, I LOVE Torchwood, which is the spin off and have seen every episode of that as well.

In other words, I love Captain Jack the most of any character in Doctor Who, even more than The Doctor. But Strax is my second favorite. Everything about Strax is pretty much perfect.
