| New Pedalboard Day! Welp, I decided to build a new board... cus I'm really hoping to sell my SKB board soon.
So, I took a 3/4 inch thick piece of finished comp wood that I had laying around and then went in to Home Depot to get some materials.
The list-
3/4" deep 1.5" long piece of wood: $4.
2 steel gate handles: $3 each.
4 anti-slip rubber pads with screws: $3.
25 ft. by 1" hook and loop velcro, industrial strength: $26.
Total= $40 and change.
Pretty darn happy with how it all turned out. The back is elevated up 3/4". Laying the velcro down went pretty well. Cut it into around 28" strips and wrapped it around the back on both sides a little bit. Put the handles on after the velcro just for a bit more stability.
This board was measured out to fit into the Rondo brands extra long flight case pedal case. The case measures 27" by 11 and 3/4". The board measures 26" by 11".

The 1spot and the other are both plugged into a three way power splitter that is velcroed onto the board. To get power to everything, just plug in an extension cord and I'm good to go. It was tough to get a decent picture of that... I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. |

| Nice! DIY is definitely the way to go for boards.

| So after finally selling my SKB board, I went ahead and ordered the Rondo extra long flight case. It got here last night and I spent a bit of time before church this morning trying it out with the board. It fits so very nice and snug that I couldn't be happier.
I was fairly certain that the width and length wouldn't be a problem as I cut the board to fit into the case. I was more worried about the height of the board fitting inside the case. Turns out, it fits perfect! There's about 5 and 1/2" of clearance and the board maxes out at about that with my volume pedal.. I did have to mess with my power supply a bit to get it to fit without smashing the cabling, but it ended up working awesome!
As for the case itself, it seems sturdy enough. About what I expected to get, good enough! haha But it looks great and really clean because of the snug fit. It is also much more lightweight than my previous case, so that's nice.
Pics (and possibly a small review of the case) to come. |

| This sounds pretty awesome. I might just have to have my friend build me one that will fit perfectly for one of those cases as well.

I went to home depot with some numbers and they cut all the wood for me... all I used was a drill to drill in the screws. |

I'm sadly just not very handy when it comes to tools haha.
